Top 25 Smartphone Survival Apps For Doomsday Preppers

This article is part 2 of 14 in our series that cumulatively includes details on the vast amount of battery powered capabilities that anyone can easily maintain after a Doomsday event.  In this article, learn the best offline survival apps for your Android or IOS smartphones and how to keep them and your laptops or tablets powered.

Why you might need Smartphone Survival Apps

If society were to collapse due to any reason, i.e., an EMP, economic or financial collapse, virus pandemic, food shortages, super volcano, or some other cause, the world and your neighborhood are going to turn chaotic and very dangerous within a very short time as the unprepared quickly run out of food and water.

When and if that happens, you may soon realize that you wished you still had access to "How To" survival information.  Just because you lose commercial AC Power, cell service, and internet service forever in a Doomsday event, does not mean that your smartphones and laptops are no longer useful.

They are still incredibly valuable and you can keep them charged indefinitely with a Portable Power Station (also called a Solar Generator) which can be recharged hundreds or thousands of times with a Foldable Solar Panel.

Besides keeping important pictures, documents and files on your phones and laptops, there are many offline apps that you can install on your current smartphones and laptops from the Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store.  No matter how knowledgeable you are as a prepper and survivalist, no one is a complete expert.

Below are the free and paid smartphone apps that we recommend you take a look at in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.  You are going to want some of these as part of your smartphone prepping. Some of the paid apps are really good and well worth their small price.

There are so many new apps popping up, you might as well periodically download free survival, prepping, medical, hunting, navigation, how-to apps to check out to make sure you have the best assortment of apps loaded on your smartphones.  Also, start using them and become familiar with them.  Some can help you out before Doomsday!

How To Store Your Old Smartphones

It would be a significant oversight for any prepper to not include their current smart phones & laptops for survival information.  Also, once you've loaded survival apps & videos, do not toss your old smartphones when you eventually replace them.

Just because they no longer have an active SIM card to use for calling, text messaging, and internet access, they still will work perfectly fine to access all of your offline pictures, files, and survival apps, so keep them as extra backups for your offline survival library.

Tip:  When you do store your old smartphones and other electronic devices, store them in one of a large selection of military grade Mission Darkness Faraday bags to protect them against destruction from EMP (electromagnetic pulse) Doomsday events.  Check them out as they make the best small faraday bags all the way up to large backpacks.
