Here's just one of many positive feedback reviews on Amazon: "Sights in easily, then holds a zero. This thing flat out works. Sighted in without issue. I've looked through Gen1 scopes, junk compared to this. I have a lot of military experience with night vision. For the money....this thing is unbeatable. I was talking to the tech at Sightmark, he said its the same picture as the pulsar 550. Pulsar has more bells and whistles. For hunting, this is the real deal. Good job Sightmark."
Engineered for precision, the extremely versatile Sightmark Photon XT 4.6x42 delivers a higher magnification, 33% longer battery life and 30% lighter weight than other digital night vision rifle scopes on the market.

" I am very pleased with how easy it is too operate and the optics are incredible at night for such an inexpensive scope. Could easily see without the IR out to 100 yards. Very good product."
"Best night vision under $600. Make sure you rotate your muzzle break holes down or else the night vision will white out. I can see at least 200 yards with it with the moon shining."
"Great NV scope. Works better than I thought in day light and awesome at night. I will be getting an additional IR light to mount to it to increase night viewing distance. Very happy with this purchase, no complaints. Good luck finding a better NV scope for this price."
"This is a great scope! I've tried a couple of Gen 1 scopes and they are useless. Bad image and they won't hold their zero. But this Photon digital scope is incredible! It provides nearly Gen 3 clarity for less money than a Gen 1. My first shot (after sighting it in) was at 1:15 in the morning. It was pitch black, no moon. I made a perfect head shot with my Rem 750 (.308 Win) on 275 lb boar at 70 yards. He was a wary beast and I had scared him away on a previous hunt using a red LED light. (So much for the rumor that hogs can't see red.) But they definitely CANNOT see IR and he had no clue I was there that night! Subsequent trips to the gun range have proven that the scope is holding its zero....Let's focus on performance. At sunset, when pointed at a shadowed food plot, I used the night mode without the IR illuminator. I used it without the illuminator until 40 minutes after sunset, then the display was too dark to see. The detection performance with the illuminator is fantastic. At low power I could light up the back edge of the food plot 120 yards away. Stepping up the IR power only made it better. I'll never buy Gen 1 junk again. And there is no need to spend the big bucks for a Gen 3 scope. This one works better than advertised. That massive boar that I nailed has convinced me that this scope is a great addition to my night-hunting arsenal. I wish I had two of these scopes!!"
"After much research I settled on this one and I'm one happy customer! I believe it to be the best night scope under $500 period! Everything is clear even with IR that comes with it and all becomes so much better with UNV-20IR light which, btw, you can make yourself if you search Internet on how-to. Don't waste your time on other scopes - pick this one, you will not regret it. It rivals scopes 2 or 3 times the cost of it. Tip: instead of regular AA batteries, pick up a set of 4 NiMH rechargeables - they last wa-ay longer than AAs will. I got a pack of 4 at Batteries Plus store for like $15, they last me the whole evening hunt (from 5pm-10pm) and more if I use my UNV-20IR instead."
"It's BIG! I knew this going in so that is not a problem. It WORKS! My what a nice scope for the price! I'm not sure how they do it but this is one very nice digital night vision scope. The 4.6X is a bit much for close up (less than 40 yards or so) but it works well day or night. It took me a while to figure out how to focus the scope since I didn't read the user manual. It has a focus adjustment on the front of the scope and another "adjusting ring" on the eyepiece. Once I figured that out everything became crystal clear. You will want to pick up some 30 mm scope rings for it since it doesn't come with any. The lens cap has no lifeline so be careful with it or you will lose it. It simply "snaps" on for lack of a better term but it falls off easily. You may want to color it some color besides black so it is easily found if dropped outside. The built in I.R. illuminator does a great job and has three (IIRC) power settings so you can adjust the illuminator for the amount of light needed. There are several choices of scope reticles and colors you can select with the control knob/button. It has a video out jack so you can record whatever the scope sees. I don't know how much recoil the scope can take but mounting it on a small caliber rifle such as a .223 should not be an issue. It uses two AA batteries so no expensive batteries to buy. What else? For the price and it's features this scope and other digital night vision scopes made by Sightmark (Yukon) are the best on the market in my opinion. Why pay three to four times as much for about the same features?"
"I purchased this towards the end of deer season as we've got hogs coming in and I wanted to improve my chances. I did. It works as advertised and I'm impressed. It's essentially like a camcorder (think brand "S") in nightvision mode - only black and white instead of green...and it's got crosshairs. But much the same. The IR illuminator is waaay too powerful for anything under 50 yds. It essentially washed out everything closer. But at 4X, just move your stand back. In any case, I recommend it. Very effective. Seems to hold zero well. Battery life is better than expected. All in all I'm very pleased that I chose it and mounted it on my AR. OH yeah - the daytime use through the pinhole lens cover is a fantastic addition. Sighted it in during the daytime and had an almost identical experience when I fired up that night."
