Why you might need it
The Maasdam Pow'R Pull 144SB-6 2 Ton Capacity hand winch is a highly versatile tool that you can use in construction, fencing, farm & ranch, automotive, landscaping, equipment handling, boating, hunting, camping, gardening, vehicle recovery/rescue & so much more! This particular model is very powerful and versatile.
I have personally used this exact model "Come along" hand winch with the Maasdam Pow'R Pull 8035 Fence Pull Chain and the Master Lock 3175AT 25' X 2" Tow Strap to pull out eight large bushes when I replaced our garden.
On another occasion, I used this tool to hoist and straighten a 30' tall Cherry Laurel tree that fell over to a 45 degree angle. The root ball had pulled out of soft, wet ground after a lot of rain followed by a drop in temperature and heavy snow. I was easily able to hand ratchet the Cherry Laurel tree to vertical, dig the root ball back in properly and tie the tree off to other nearby trees for over a year to allow the roots to regain their footing.
Hunters can also use this versatile ratcheting hand winch to hoist heavy game. You can use it to pull cars and trucks out of ditches or just about anywhere else they are stuck. Doomsday Preppers will also appreciate this high quality hand winch in their arsenal of survival tools.
You can buy Come along hand winches in different sizes. In a Doomsday Survival environment, a 2 Ton Capacity winch will handle most any job.

"It does exactly what it is designed to do and its durability is unmatched."
"American made and built tough. I've pulled plenty of stumps with this baby and it performs flawlessly, not like those pieces of junk you get elsewhere. Highly recommended."
"I purchased mine shortly after buying the lot for my house, to pull saplings and bushes: worked like a charm. Built a garage, and used it to un-rack the frame -- squaring the building. Got my utility trailer stuck in the mud, and used this to pull it out. Snow-thrower died, and I used this to winch it on my utility trailer to take for repairs. Not too bulky, heavy, or expensive -- it sure has bailed me out enough to be one of the last tools I'd ever wish to be without. Highly recommended!"
"This is far superior to any 2 ton come along in this price range I've found in the stores. Made in the USA. Much easier on the hands than the cheaper ones you find in Walmart, etc. Very pleased with it."
"Well made, strong, and works! Nicely made, strong, and actually made in the US. Quality tool, not to be confused with the cheap Chinese imported come-along. Ratchet and release work well and easily."
"I received the package quickly and in good condition. I used it the very next day to pull a rebar reinforced chunk of concrete that weighed at least 1500 pounds. I was actually worried that I had not purchased a strong enough come-a-long for the job but it pulled it right up on my trailer with ease. I do not review items often but this is a solid tool and a good value..."
"I used this to tension 5/32 7x19 aircraft cable and it worked without flaw. It has very robust construction and the ability to yank a lot of weight. The take off mechanism to relieve tension works nicely. The hooks are strong and I did not feel scared to really use this as I have with some others. The swivels were smooth and allowed me to adjust the position with ease. Also, there is plenty of cable to extend the reach. It even has clear directions if you are new to using one. Would buy again. Made in the USA counts in that I do not fear the construction will fail. I like equipment to be made here for critical function such as grade 8 bolts and cable pullers because the chance for failure is one I cannot tolerate..."
"A robust and competent tool at a fair price. It is versatile, reliable, and worth having on hand."
"For the price you can't beat this one for strength. I've used cheap ones and good ones, this is a good cheap one."
"Easy to operate and light enough to carry around the woods..."
"Top Quality. These things come in so handy when you need them. Last time I used it was to pull a car out of a garage that had four flats and had not moved in over ten years. 4000 LBS car on flat tires came out with little to no effort. The quality of this come a long is top notch. It has been stored in both my Jeeps now and shows no signs of rust or weather wear at all."
" Works great. Used it to set up a zip line. Made it a one man job."
"Used two of these and a little shovel work to yank some oak stumps out of my yard. Neighbors think I'm crazy but these did the job and worked well. I previously bought some cheapo's from Harbor Freight which just pulled apart. These Masdam units are beasts."
"A reminder of what quality USA-made tools can be like: excellent! Wow, what a well-designed, well-made piece of kit. I bought this to straighten up some 3" square iron fence posts (probably about 18 gauge steel) that had been bent 3 to 10 degrees off plumb by an auto impact. Some of them were bent enough to be lightly crimped at the bottom. Using the Pow'R Pull 2-Ton capacity come-along, and some auto axle straps (rated well above the 4000-lb come-along rating) I was able to pull the posts back into plumb in with little effort and with perfect control. A much better solution than trying to push them using a truck's engine & bumper. Aside from overall great design & construction, the best thing about this tool is the mechanism for *controlled* release of tension / let-down. Even under maximum tension it is not hard to safely and smoothly de-tension and/or lower an object in the same small steps as it was tightened or lifted."
